The Turtles
The Turtles were an American psychedelic folk/rock band with pop sensibilities. Formed in 1965, they gained popularity in the mid-60s with hits like "Happy Together" and "Elenore". After their third album, one of the founding members left the band. Two other members later joined Frank Zappa's The Mothers Of Invention. In the '70s, they also worked as producers for various artists.
