Anathema

Liverpool's Anathema started out in the early '90s as a doom metal outfit, but underwent a remarkable transformation over the past decade. Led by guitarist Vincent Cavanagh, the band ventured into uncharted territory, shedding their metal roots and embracing progressive and melodic sounds. Their artistic breakthrough came with 2001's A Fine Day to Exit, showcasing powerful atmospheric rock. With superb vocals from Cavanagh, Anathema captivates listeners with brooding yet captivating music.

In September 2020, Anathema announced an indefinite hiatus after leaving an indelible mark on the music scene.
