Meursault is an alternative indie band hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland. Formed in 2006 by singer-songwriter Neil Pennycook, their music has been described as a blend of folktronica, alternative rock, and indie folk. With their most recent work being coined as "epic lo-fi," Meursault draws inspiration from a wide range of genres to create their unique sound.

The band's name pays homage to the main character of Albert Camus' famous novel L'Etranger. Meursault's captivating melodies and introspective lyrics have garnered them a dedicated following over the years.
