Chet Baker

Chet Baker was an American jazz trumpeter, singer, composer, and artist. Born on December 23, 1929 in Yale, Oklahoma, USA, he began his career in the early 1950s playing alongside renowned musicians. However, his career was hindered by drug addiction and arrests for narcotics.

Despite these challenges, Baker made several comebacks starting from 1957 with collaborations featuring talented musicians like [Collaborator Name] and Gerry Mulligan. Despite having his teeth knocked out during an altercation, Baker recovered and continued to record frequently across various labels. He showcased his skills both in small groups and leading large ensembles in live settings.

In the 1980s until his death at the age of 58 on May 13th, 1988 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Chet Baker recorded extensively in Europe. His music legacy remains influential as he left behind a remarkable body of work that showcases his unique talent as a trumpeter and vocalist.
