Lost Sounds

Lost Sounds was a synth punk band from Memphis, Tennessee, USA. Formed in March 1999 by Jay Reatard and Rich Crook (formerly of The Reatards) along with Alicja Trout (formerly of The Clears), the band disbanded in 2005 after their second European tour. Their last show took place in May 2005 in Stuttgart, Germany.

The band consisted of Jay Lindsey (aka Jay Reatard) on guitar, synth, and vocals; Alicja Trout on guitar, synth, and vocals; Rich Crook on drums; Patrick Jordan on bass from 2004-2005; John Garland (aka Jonas) on bass and guitar from 2001-2004; Jon Acosta on bass in 2002; and Steven Calhoun on bass in 1999.

Known for their unique blend of synth-driven punk rock, Lost Sounds drew inspiration from various genres including garage rock and new wave. They were pioneers of the underground music scene and left a lasting impact with their energetic live performances.
