Cherry Red is a British label that was founded by Iain McNay in 1978. Also known as Cherry Red Records, this label has become associated with the company Music and Media Group. With the label code LC 6730, Cherry Red has made a name for itself in the music industry. It is important to note that this label should not be confused with the US label of the same name.

Cherry Red

Blitz, founded in 1980 in New Mills, Derbyshire, England, were the first signing of No Future Records. They are widely recognized as classic Oi!/street punk artists with their early releases such as Voice of a Generation (1981) and Second Empire Justice LP (1982). Moving into new wave/post-punk territory with their second album, The Killing Dream (1983), the band unfortunately experienced commercial failure and split up shortly thereafter. Guitarist Nidge Miller resurrected the Blitz name in 1990 with the album The Final Blitz and continued with 1992's Second Empire Justice II. Miller played all instruments on these recordings while vocals were provided by Gary Bassett of Criminal Class. Despite losing Miller to a tragic car accident in 2007, Blitz continues to tour under their iconic name.
