Fun Boy Three were well known faces in the 2 Tone movement. After the split of The Specials, singers Terry Hall, Neville Staples, and Lynval Golding formed Fun Boy Three. Their first single was already recorded with producer Dave Jordan when "Ghost Town" reached UK#1 on July 11, 1981.

As prominent members of The Specials, Fun Boy Three brought their unique style and sound to the music scene. With their catchy tunes and infectious energy, they quickly gained a loyal following.

With hits like "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "The Lunatics (Have Taken Over the Asylum)," Fun Boy Three made a lasting impact on the music industry. Their fusion of reggae, pop, and new wave created a sound that was both innovative and timeless.

The roots of Chrysalis stretch back to a tiny flat in West London in 1967, when former university social secretaries, Chris Wright and Terry Ellis, linked their flair for managing and booking bands to form the Ellis Wright Agency. After trying to release their bands' records via other companies, they decided to start their own label.

In 1968, they signed a licensing deal with Island Records with the proviso that if their acts achieved an agreed number of hits, they would be awarded a label of their own. Within a year, this tally was reached and Chrysalis Records was born.

Over the years, Chrysalis went through various ownership changes. In 1985, Chris Wright bought out Terry Ellis and later sold the label to EMI in 1991. EMI was then acquired by Universal Music Group in 2012 before selling the Parlophone Label Group (including Chrysalis) to Warner Music Group in 2013.

Fun Boy Three formed in the summer of 1981 when Terry Hall, Lynval Golding and Neville Staples broke away from The Specials. The band quickly hit the UK top 40 charts with their debut single, 'The Lunatics (Have Taken Over The Asylum). This was followed in early '82 by two UK Top 10 singles with Bananarama, 'T'Aint What You Do (It's The Way That You Do It)' and 'Really Saying Something'. A further 7 singles (Summertime, The Tunnel of Love, Our Lips Are Sealed etc.) and two albums, The Fun Boy Three (1982) and Waiting (1983), the later produced by Talking Heads front man, David Byrne, were released before calling it a day in the Summer of 1983.&nbsp;The Complete Fun Boy Three includes 69 audio tracks which brings together all the official recordings (albums/singles/b-sides/remixes/live and previously unreleased outtakes). The 27 track DVD includes all their promo videos, Top of The Pops performances and a live concert from 1983.&nbsp;This is packaged in a DVD Sized hardback book, with newly written sleeves notes by John Earls (Classic Pop/Record Collector) with contributions from the band and photographs.&nbsp;The DVD is Region 0 /NTSC coded.
