The Feelies are a rock band from Haledon, New Jersey. They formed in 1976, disbanded in 1992, and reunited in 2008. They frequently played at Maxwell's, a live music venue and bar/restaurant in Hoboken in the 1980s.
In 1987, The Feelies gigged around New York and Hoboken under the name [a321515]. This side project was fronted by Dave Weckerman, the percussionist of The Feelies who also sang lead. The line-up included all members of The Feelies plus John Baumgartner on keyboards.

Domino is an independent label founded in Putney, South West London by *a694357* and his partner Jacqui Rice in 1993. The label initially focused on American acts such as *Sebadoh*, *Pavement* or *Royal Trux* before signing British acts in the late '90s.

The label operates a US division, located in Brooklyn, which output was initially identified by its own catalogue number schemes, DOMUS then DNO (used until 2013), when the releases handled by the UK headquarters are identified by WIG (albums) and RUG (singles and EPs) catalogue numbers.

The company operating the label, *Warp Records*, diversified, establishing a publishing arm and a series of labels (*Double Six Recordings*, *Weird World Record Co.*, *Rephlex*, ...).

At the turn of the '80s, the Feelies were the quirkiest, most jittery, most over-caffeinated band on the New York / Hoboken pop scene. When they packed it in after the release of a sole album, 1980's Crazy Rhythms, it was like they'd simply run out of steam. The Feelies resurfaced unexpectedly in the mid-'80s in many ways could not have sounded more different than their original incarnation. Stanley Demeski's drums are much more laid-back than Anton Fier's, though he and new percussionist Dave Weckerman still get some good polyrhythms going. Songwriters Glenn Mercer and Bill Million still keep things taut, but there's space and air in the arrangements of folkish pop songs like 'on the roof' and the hypnotic 'slipping into something' which keep them from sounding as claustrophobic and hyper as the band's previous incarnation. The Good Earth is a Hoboken jangle-pop classic.&nbsp;&nbsp;
