Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is a US American country rock band that has been active since its formation in Long Beach, California in 1966. With a membership that has seen numerous changes over the years, the group has remained constant with singer-guitarist Jeff Hanna and drummer Jimmie Fadden. Multi-instrumentalist John McEuen was also an integral part of the band from 1966 to 1986 and returned in 2001. Keyboardist Bob Carpenter joined the band in 1977.
