The Style Council

The Style Council was an English band formed in 1983 by Paul Weller, the former singer, songwriter, and guitarist with the punk rock/new wave/mod revival band The Jam, and keyboardist Mick Talbot. They disbanded in March 1990.

Known for their unique blend of soul, pop, jazz, and new wave influences, The Style Council created a distinct sound that set them apart from their contemporaries. With hits like "Shout to the Top!" and "Long Hot Summer," they achieved commercial success while maintaining their artistic integrity.
