She gained recognition when legendary producer Brian Eno hailed her as "the best thing since Patti Smith." Anna released her self-titled album "Anna Calvi" in 2011 under the Domino label.

Throughout her career, Anna has received numerous accolades and nominations for her musical talent. She was nominated for the BBC Sound Of 2011 list, Mercury Music Awards in both 2011 and 2019, EBBA Awards in 2012, and BRIT Awards in 2012.
