Asking Alexandria is a British metal band that was formed in 2008 after the dismantle of the UAE band with the same name. Originally starting as a metalcore outfit, the band consisted of founder Ben Bruce and Cameron Liddell on guitars, Danny Worsnop as vocalist, Joe Lancaster on bass, Ryan Binns on keyboards, and James Cassells on drums. With their new lineup, they released several studio albums and EPs.

In 2015, Worsnop left the band to focus on his solo projects and was replaced by Denis Stoff. The band released "[m=984360]" with their new singer in March 2016. After Stoff's departure in October 2016, Worsnop rejoined the group and they released "[m=1315563]" in 2017. This record showcased a departure from metalcore towards a more hard rock/heavy metal sound.

In 2020, Asking Alexandria experimented with pop and electronic elements in their sixth album "[m=1740640]". The following year saw the release of "[m=2321812]". Throughout their career, Asking Alexandria has carved out a unique place within the metal genre while continuously evolving their sound.
