Fat Possum Records is a label that was established in 1991 with the sole purpose of recording R.L. Burnside. Over time, it evolved into a mission to discover and record the last remaining original bluesmen before they passed away. Despite facing various challenges such as difficult personalities, limited songs, and a raw sound that didn't fit the mainstream blues market, these artists possessed immense talent and truly lived the blues.

In recent years, Fat Possum has expanded its catalog to include newer indie blues rock bands alongside their traditional offerings.

Tommy Stinson has reassembled his band Bash and Pop, which he played in between stints in the Replacements and Guns N' Roses in the early Nineties. The group release new album entitled Anything Could Happen. It is the first Bash and Pop record since their 1993 debut Friday Night Is Killing Me. Stinson worked with a number of musicians on the album, including Steve Selvidge (The Hold Steady), Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi All-Stars) and Frank Ferrer (Guns N' Roses), as well as musicians who have played with Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Jack White, Ryan Adams and Screeching Weasel, among others.LP - Housed in Gatefold Sleeve.
