French disco-electro songwriter, producer, arranger, and drummer born May 24, 1952 in Vitry-sur-Seine, Paris, France. Father of [a=Greg Cerrone], brother of [a767569]. He has released over 25 solo albums, including soundtracks. At aged 18 he was already orchestra-leader at the "Club Mediterranée". When he was 20, he had a very lucrative contract with the French label [l=Barclay]. Together with [a=Giorgio Moroder], they are probably the most pivotal figures of the Euro disco sound.

The release of 'Cerrone IV - The Golden Touch' saw Cerrone venture further into Electronic Eurodisco territory. 'Je Suis Music' provided another Top 40 UK hit and reached number 63 R&amp;B in the US.
