Die Krupps is a German post punk/industrial/EBM/metal band that was formed in Düsseldorf in October 1980 by Jürgen Engler and Bernward Malaka. The band's sound has evolved over time, incorporating elements of noise, EBM, industrial, and metal. In the mid-1990s, Die Krupps embraced a more metal sound, influenced by Metallica and even recording covers of their songs.

After a hiatus from 1997 to 2005, Die Krupps returned to the music scene with renewed energy. The current key personnel of the band include Jürgen Engler, Ralf Dörper, and Marcel Zürcher.
