Jethro Tull is a Grammy Award winning British rock group formed in 1967-1968. Their music is characterized by the unique vocal style and lead flute work of front man Ian Anderson. Initially playing blues rock with an experimental flavor, the band has incorporated elements of classical, folk, jazz, and art rock over the years.
With their distinctive sound and innovative approach to music, Jethro Tull has captivated audiences worldwide. Led by the talented Ian Anderson, their fusion of genres such as blues rock, classical, folk, jazz, and art rock sets them apart from other bands.
The band's journey began in the late 1960s and they quickly gained recognition for their exceptional musicianship and groundbreaking compositions. Their incorporation of unconventional instruments like the flute added a unique dimension to their sound.

Parlophone is an anglicization of the German [l=Parlophon] label, registered as a trademark in 1902 by Max Straus and Heinrich Zuntz of [b]Salon Kinematograph Co. GmbH[/b], later merged into [l=Carl Lindström A.-G.]. The first Parlophon records are pressed in 1910. 

By 1923, Parlophone proper appears in London administered by English Lindström branch known as [l311921],  Parlophon records were pressed in London and sold locally. By 1926 extended operations extended to press for export in Australia (#cat A) until the australian factory [l=Parlophone Co. Ltd.] was created somewhere the next year. These companies were subsequently taken over by [l97841] in 1927, following its acquisition of [l275192] in 1926, thus becoming a constituent part of [l293204] (EMI) when that company merged with [l253617] in 1931.

The label largely operated as a Jazz and Novelty label until manager, [a=George Martin], signed the [a=The Beatles] in 1962. As a result of its subsequent success and profile, the label was earmarked for phasing out in 1973 in favour of [l=EMI] (the label), however the parlophone imprint continued to be used by registered trademark owner [l=EMI Records Ltd.] and affiliated companies.

In September 2012 following the acquisition of [l1330982]'s US and Asian interests by [l=Universal Music Group], Parlophone and the former EMI Records Ltd. were merged as the [l806790] (PLG Holdco Ltd.) and spun off to be sold. 

They were sold to [l=Warner Music Group] in March 2013.
The Parlophone label is now owned by [l=Parlophone Records Ltd.], the re-named EMI Records Ltd., itself a subsidiary of [l=Warner Music International].

The Beatles were not part of the Parlophone Label Group and their catalogue was acquired by [l=Universal].

Jess Glynne releases her debut album, 'I Cry When I Laugh'. The four songs at the heart of the album are divined from one rewarding, traumatic, consuming affair.  'Hold My Hand' you will already know, a genuine sales and radio goliath with such a reach that it has turned her from being the noticeable feature at the frontline of Britain's urgent appetite for pop-house bangers into a proper homespun superstar.  As a song, it feels as it speaks, an anthem to positivity and personal communion, written with Jess's most consistent collaborator and musical soul sister, Janee 'Jin Jin' Bennett. It is also the key to unlocking the other key tracks. 'Don't Be So Hard' is about painting a smile on while 'Gave Me Something' is about always thinking you'll be a certain kind of girl and then turning into something else. And then 'Take Me Home', the most downbeat track on the album, is about being able to revisit that sad moment. She allowed herself one ballad, after all. One of the album's closing tracks - 'Saddest Vanilla' - sees Jess singing alongside multimillion selling British popstar Emeli Sande, the only artist to feature on the album.
