Linkin Park is an alternative/modern rock band hailing from Agoura Hills, California. They are known for being one of the most popular bands in the "nü-metal" movement, alongside other notable acts. The band was originally formed as Xero in the winter of 1995/96 but later changed their name to Hybrid Theory in 1999.
