Caroline Records is a renowned music label that has had an interesting history. Originally established as a European offshoot of Virgin in the 1970s, it was later revived in the 1980s as a distributor and pseudo-indie label under Virgin/EMI. In 2013, Universal Music brought back the brand through Capitol Music Group. Caroline Records serves as a label for various releases bearing the *Caroline* or *Caroline Records* brands, as well as fulfilling distributor and other company roles.

The catalog number formats used by Caroline have varied over time, with prefixes like *CAROL* and *CAR*. It is important to use these numbers exactly as they appear on the release to avoid any confusion. In recent years, Caroline also adopted the standard EMI numbering system alongside their CAROL-prefix numbers.

Similar to Island Records, Caroline has been inconsistent about incorporating the word "Records" into their logos and contact information throughout their history. However, on Discogs it is considered correct to always refer to them as *Caroline Records*, even if "Records" is not present. The oldest logo of Caroline was reintroduced for several new releases in the mid-2010s. While it may be more appropriate to omit "Records" from their name now, there are too many releases associated with this label to make such edits at this point.

Peter Gabriel is an English singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and entrepreneur. Born on 13 February 1950 in Chobham, Surrey, England, he is known for his contributions to the music industry.

Originally the lead singer of prog-rockers Genesis from 1967 to 1975, Gabriel left the band to pursue solo projects. Throughout his career, he has achieved multi-platinum selling albums and established himself as a successful artist.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Gabriel founded the annual WOMAD music festival and owns Real World Studios, one of Britain's most sought-after recording studios. He also holds joint ownership of Solid State Logic, a prominent recording studio hardware manufacturer.

The album has been Half-Speed Remastered and cut to lacquers at 33RPM, across 3x heavyweight LPs, to deliver maximum dynamic range in the sound. Vinyl cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering, mastered by Tony Cousins at Metropolis and overseen by Peter’s main sound engineer Richard Chappell. The album looks amazing with a gatefold sleeve and full colour printed inner bags. This is the first time that Growing Up Live has been available on vinyl, with the LP designed by Marc Bessant at Real World.In 2002 and 2003, following the release of his album UP, Peter Gabriel went on the road with his Growing Up tour, once again collaborating with production designer Robert Lepage to create a spectacular and theatrical live experience. The tour took in thirty-two cities across the USA, Canada and Europe and this concert performance was recorded over two nights at the Filaforum in Milan in May 2003, with Peter Gabriel and the band performing in the round at the centre of the arena. A concert film capturing the live show was released in late 2003, but Growing Up Live has never previously been on vinyl. The touring band you will hear on this recording consists of Ged Lynch (drums), Tony Levin (bass, vocals), David Rhodes (guitar, vocals), Richard Evans (guitar, mandolin, whistle, vocals), Rachel Z (keyboards, vocals), Melanie Gabriel (vocals) and Peter Gabriel (vocals, keyboards). Special guest appearances by The Blind Boys of Alabama, Sevara Nazarkhan, Dr Hukwe Zawose and Charles Zawose and the voice of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
