Charalambides

Charalambides is a trio of Texas creative musicians known for their extended guitar and voice compositions and improvisations. Their music explores a range of tonality, utilizing volume, space, silence, folk and psychedelia. The group was initially formed as a recording project in 1991 and has since evolved into performing music of a more public nature.

Originally based in Houston before relocating to Austin in 1997, Charalambides has gone through various configurations over the years. The core duo of *Tom & Christina Carter* has been accompanied by guitarist *Jason Bill* from 1993 to 1996 and steel guitarist *Heather Murray* since 2000.
