Link Wray

Link Wray was an American rock guitarist, born on May 2, 1929 in Dunn, North Carolina. He was known for his innovative use of power chords with distorted sounds and the Larsen effect. In the early 1980s, he relocated to Denmark where he continued to make music until his death on November 5, 2005 in Copenhagen. With a musical career that spanned decades, Link Wray left a lasting impact on the rock genre.

Throughout his career, Link Wray's unique guitar style and experimental techniques set him apart as an innovator. He was one of the first guitarists to incorporate power chords and distortion into his music, influencing countless musicians who followed in his footsteps.
