Melbourne Ska Orchestra

Melbourne Ska Orchestra is known for their legendary stage performances, featuring a 15 piece horn troupe and led by Nicky Bomba. The band was formed in 2003 after a successful sold-out performance that aimed to set a world record for the largest number of horn players on stage playing ska-skank.

The orchestra is made up of talented musicians including Nicky Bomba as the band leader, vocalist, guitarist, and drummer. Other members include Pat Powell on vocals, Steve Montgomery on vocals and various instruments, Barry Deenick on bass, Steve Phillips on drums and percussion, George Servanis on drums and percussion, Elvis Aljus on drums and percussion, Dave Joseph on drums and percussion, Lennox Jordan on steel pan, Antonio Milillo and Rodrigo Pino on guitars.

Additional members include Michael Havir playing piano & Hammond organ along with other instruments like Glockenspiel and Melodica. Jake Savona also contributes to piano & Hammond organ while Michael Caruana plays piano. The brass section consists of Patrick Cronin, David Henry, Ed Farrar, Sarah Heffernan,and Ted Kazan all playing trumpet; Paul Coyle plays trumpet & trombone; Peter Slipper plays trombone; Jessica Jacobs,Wally Maloney,and a840891 play trombone as well. Tony Hicks handles clarinet & alto saxophone while Dean Hilson, Justin Forster,Pete Mitchell,Laurie Bongailas
