Peatbog Faeries

The Peatbog Faeries are a Scottish band based on the Isle of Skye. They are known for their unique blend of Celtic melodies with jazz and folk overtones, making them one of Scotland's best-known names in contemporary folk music. Since forming in 1991, they have played to fans all over the world and have won multiple awards, including induction into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame. With Peter Morrison and Innes Hutton as the remaining original members, they continue to captivate audiences with their individual brand of Scottish tunes.

Originally formed in 1991 at a concert in Edinburgh, The Peatbog Faeries have been going strong ever since. Over the years, there have been changes in personnel and musical direction. Their limited edition cassette "The Great Ceilidh Swindle" was released in 1995, followed by signing to Greentrax record label where they recorded their album "Mellowocity" in 1996 - a top seller for nearly 15 years.

In 2002, the band added a brass section to their lineup and embraced a new musical direction with their album "Welcome to Dunvegas". Further lineup changes occurred over time, resulting in albums such as "Croftwork" (2005), "What Men Deserve to Lose" (2007), and their first live album (2009). The brass section featured prominently on their album "Dust" (2012
