Porcupine Tree is an English progressive rock band that was founded in 1987 by Steven Wilson. Originally starting as a solo project, the band evolved into a full lineup in 1993 with the addition of Colin Edwin, Chris Maitland, and Richard Barbieri. After going on hiatus in 2010, Porcupine Tree made their official return in November 2021 as a three-piece lineup consisting of Wilson, Barbieri, and Gavin Harrison. They released their new single "Harridan" and are set to release their eleventh studio album Closure / Continuation in June 2022.
The current lineup includes Steven Wilson on vocals, guitar, bass, and keyboards; Richard Barbieri on keyboards and synthesizers; and Gavin Harrison on drums and percussion. Former members include Chris Maitland on drums and Colin Edwin on bass. The touring members for the band currently include Randy McStine on guitar and backing vocals, Nathan Navarro on bass, and John Wesley on guitar and backing vocals during their earlier years.
