Rachid Taha

Rachid Taha was an Algerian artist and the founder of the pioneering French Arabic rock band, Carte De Séjour. He grew up in the Lyon suburbs in France and is known for inventing a unique music style that combines Rock n' Raï. Born on September 18th, 1958 in Saint-Denis-du-Sig (now Sig), near Oran, Algeria, Taha made significant contributions to the music industry throughout his career. Sadly, he passed away on September 12th, 2018 in Les Lilas, France.
