Soothsayers

Soothsayers are a London-based band who perform and record original afrobeat and reggae-influenced music. Founded in 1998 by sax player Idris Rahman and trumpeter Robin Hopcraft, they have their own label Red Earth Records.

The band consists of Robin Hopcraft on trumpet, vocals, and production; Idris Rahman on sax, vocals, and production; Kodjovi Kush on bass and vocals; Patrick Illingworth on drums; Julia Biel on vocals; Phil Dawson and Patrick Hatchett on guitar; and Kishon Khan on keyboards.

Additionally, the wider Soothsayers Collective includes Westley Joseph, Zoe Rahman, Adesose Wallace, Yuval "Juba" Wezler, Frank Tontoh, and Lucky Ranku. With their unique blend of genres and talented lineup of musicians, Soothsayers continue to captivate audiences with their infectious rhythms and soulful melodies.
