The Auteurs

The Auteurs were a British alternative rock band founded in 1991 and disbanded in 1999. The band consisted of James Banbury on cello, Glenn Collins as the first drummer, Luke Haines on guitar, piano, and vocals, Alice Readman on bass, and Barney C. Rockford as the second drummer.

Known for their unique sound and poetic lyrics, The Auteurs gained popularity during the 90s alternative rock scene. Their music combined elements of indie rock with influences from various genres such as pop and punk.
