The Rills

Formed in 2017, The Rills are a London based Indie/Post-Punk band. Their story began in Sheffield where friends Mitch Spencer, Callum Warner-Webb and Charlie Weight had moved to. The three lived together for six months and wrote their early demos at 59 Onslow Road - early gigs would see The Rills in The Frog and Parrot, Sheffield and The Tap and Spile, Lincoln. They returned to their hometown of Lincoln in the summer before moving to London. At university, the trio met drummer Mason Cassar and after only a week they had started to play shows in London. Cutting their teeth in venues across the capital, the band have since supported the likes of The Blinders, Italia 90 and Sheafs. Intense performing gave rise to their raucous stage presence and captivating energy which lead them to appearances at Kendal Calling, Tramlines and 2Q festival. The band played headline shows across the country in 2019, infecting the UK’s underground venues with their wild excitement. Never too far from home, the band has sold out shows and drawn attention to live music in Lincoln. In 2020, former guitarist Charlie Weight left The Rills - the band remain as a three piece. The Rills cite their influences as The Libertines, IDLES, Fontaines DC and the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
