Tom Jones

Tom Jones, OBE (born 7 June 1940, Treforest, Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales) is a Welsh singer. He started his career as the frontman for a Welsh beat group and quickly gained popularity with hits like "It's Not Unusual". By the end of the 1960s, Jones was a top Las Vegas headliner and sold out venues worldwide.

In addition to his successful music career, Jones also had an internationally acclaimed television show called "This Is Tom Jones" from 1969 to 1971. Despite a decline in record sales during the mid-1970s, he remained a highly sought-after live performer. In fact, he was the first solo artist to sell out [l240090] in 1970.
