Women

Women is a Canadian indie rock outfit founded in 2007 in Calgary, Alberta. The band consists of Patrick Flegel on vocals and guitar, Matt Flegel on bass and vocals, Chris Reimer on guitar and vocals, and Michael Wallace on drums. With their longstanding musical bond since childhood, Women effortlessly blend dense experimental noise and intricate instrumentation with delicate melodic songwriting.

In 2012, tragedy struck when guitarist Christopher Reimer passed away in his sleep just days after performing at Weeds Cafe in Calgary. To honor his memory, Chad van Gaalen released The Chad Tape featuring nine solo tracks by Reimer. Following the disbanding of Women and Reimer's death, Matthew Flegel and Michael Wallace formed the band Viet Cong while Pat Flegel pursued his own project called Cindy Lee.
