Idler

Idler is a US hip-hop label that was established in 1986 as a subsidiary of Warlock records. It was founded and managed by Tony D. Throughout its history, Idler has been home to renowned artists such as the Jungle Brothers, MC Serch (who later formed 3rd Bass), JVC Force, and King Tre. While initially focused on hip-hop, the label gradually shifted towards house music, particularly with early releases from Todd Terry under the aliases Royal House and Orange Lemon. This evolution eventually led to the creation of hip-house tracks like "I'll House You" by the Jungle Brothers. Currently, Idler's catalog is under the control of Phase One Network, an asset management company.
