He co-founded the Rephlex label in 1991 and has released numerous albums and EPs under various aliases on labels such as Warp Records. His releases like "Come to Daddy" (1997) and "Windowlicker" (1999) achieved chart success in the UK. In 2015, he won a Grammy Award for Best Dance / Electronica Album. The iconic Aphex Twin logos were designed by an artist named Richard D. James.

Warp is a British electronic label founded by Steve Beckett, Rob Mitchell (RIP 2001), and Robert Gordon. It is one of the world's most respected and influential electronic/experimental dance labels. Originally based in Sheffield, UK, Warp later moved to London. They are known for their pioneering digital music sales site Bleep.com, which offered high-quality MP3s for sale along with exclusive tracks and rarities. Warp has several related labels including Warp Records Limited, Warp Music Publishing, Lex Records, Arcola, LuckyMe, and Night Slugs. The label's history is documented in the book "Warp" by Rob Young.

New and unheard 13 Track CD and 12" from the Aphex Twin. There will only be limited copies on release date apparently so will be worth pre ordering in any of our shops or on line. So as some expected and hot on the heels of 'Syro' comes the natty titled 'Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments Pt 2' in all it's blacked out minimal glory. Kicking off with the spy movie funk of 'diskhat ALL preparedlmixed' the clue is definitely in the release's title. Mr James has got hold of some seriously good drums and all manner of physical instruments to create thirteen tracks of sublime Aphexness that reach parts he's never really been to before in such detail. Drum rolls, bells, pianos and all manner of percussion get worked out and retuned to wonderful effect.
