Atreyu is a five-piece metalcore band from Orange County, California, United States. Formed in 1998, the band consists of vocalist Brandon Saller, guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel, bassist Marc McKnight and drummer Kyle Rosa. Originally named "Retribution," they changed their name to Atreyu after discovering another band with the same name. Inspired by the character from The Neverending Story, Atreyu has become known for their powerful sound and energetic performances.

In 2009, American metalcore band Atreyu released their fifth studio album&nbsp;Congregation of the Damned. For this album, the band returned to their "heavy hardcore" roots, following 2007's&nbsp;Lead Sails Paper Anchor, while also wanting to "move forward", which resulted in a more melodic approach. It was produced by Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne, Airbourne) and mixed by Rich Costey (The Mars Volta, System of a Down).

Three tracks were released as singles: “Storm To Pass”, “Lonely”, and “Gallows”. The album debuted at #18 on the Billboard 200, selling 26.000 copies in its first week of release.

Housed in a gatefold sleeve and includes an insert. This vinyl edition features the original artwork for the first time.
