Description

In 1952 Carl Seemann started to record for Deutsche Grammophon and he stayed on this label most of his career. Over the years he recorded many celebrated albums for the Yellow Label, especially Beethoven’s complete Sonatas for piano and violin with Wolfgang Schneiderhan or his Mozart Solo and Orchestra recordings. This edition, marking 40 years (in 2023) since the death of Carl Seemann, brings together for the first time his complete recordings on 25 CDs and one Blu-ray Audio Disc. The 84-page booklet contains essays by Carsten Dürer, Joachim Kaiser and Norbert Hornig.
