BMG Rights Management, formerly known as Bertelsmann Music Group, is a global music conglomerate with a rich history in the industry. Originally formed in 1985 as a joint venture between Bertelsmann AG and RCA, BMG has since evolved into a powerhouse of music production and distribution.

In 1986, Bertelsmann acquired full ownership of RCA and Arista Records through the purchase of their joint venture's stock from General Electric. The following year, these labels were merged under the umbrella of Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), solidifying its position as a major player in the music world.

In 2004, BMG joined forces with Sony Music to create Sony BMG Music Entertainment. However, in 2008, Bertelsmann sold its stake in the company, leading to the formation of BMG Rights Management. Today, BMG continues to thrive as a leading record label and distributor worldwide.

Celtic Frost was formed in 1984 in Birchwil, Zurich, Switzerland by Tom G. Warrior and Martin Eric Ain. The band's sound evolved from proto-black metal to incorporating classical influences and avant-garde elements. Despite facing criticism for their album "Cold Lake", Celtic Frost continued to push boundaries with their music. After disbanding in 1992, the band resurrected in 2006 with a new lineup and released "Monotheist". However, Thomas G. Fischer announced his departure from the band in 2008, leading to the definite end of Celtic Frost.

Throughout their career, Celtic Frost had various members including Ron Marks, Oliver Amberg, Stephen Priestly, Reed St. Mark, Curt Victor Bryant, Erol Unala, Anders Odden among others. Their unique and ambitious style made them a prominent figure in the metal scene.

Despite their ups and downs over the years, Celtic Frost's influence on the genre remains undeniable. Their ability to constantly evolve and experiment with different musical styles set them apart from other bands of their time.

Released in 1987, only now can people understand just how far ahead of its time this album was. Not only did it have maniacal rhythms, but introduced electronica into extreme metal. On every level, it was a remarkable record, full of visionary ideas and ideals. This release includes alternate versions of tracks from the album and a cover of Dean Martin! The concept and art direction of the release was done by the man behind Celtic Frost, Tom G. Warrior. Both the LP and CD versions include new sleeve notes and extensive booklets.
