Compass

Compass is a renowned recording studio originally based in Nassau, Bahamas. Founded in 1977 by Chris Blackwell and directed by Alex Sadkin, the studio quickly gained popularity thanks to its relaxed tropical setting and talented session musicians. Artists such as Grace Jones, Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club, Robert Palmer, and Joe Cocker have all recorded at Compass Point Studios.

After Sadkin's passing in 1987, the studio faced a period of decline. However, in 1992, on Blackwell's commission, the studios underwent a complete restructuring led by Terry Manning who also took over management responsibilities. Following this restructure, Compass Point operated with increasing success until September 2010.

In response to local "socio-political" incidents that made it untenable to continue doing public business in The Bahamas, Blackwell and Manning announced via the now-defunct studio website that they were relocating due to these circumstances. They emphasized that anyone claiming to be part of Compass Point Studios after their departure was using the trademarked name inappropriately.

Colin Hay (born 29 June 1953, Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, Scotland) is a Scottish-Australian musician and actor. He gained fame in the 1980s as the lead vocalist of the Australian band Men at Work before embarking on a successful solo career. With his distinctive voice and heartfelt lyrics, Colin has captivated audiences around the world.
Throughout his career, Colin Hay has been influenced by various genres including folk, rock, and pop. His music often explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. Fans of artists such as Joshua Radin, Alexi Murdoch, and David Gray will appreciate Colin's introspective songwriting style.

 The deluxe edition, titled NOW AND THE EVERMORE (MORE), includes seven unreleased and never before heard tracks from the original recording sessions. 

Says Hay, "Upon listening to these songs, which were part of the NOW AND THE EVERMORE recording sessions, I am struck by a sense of yearning. For what is unclear, but the context is set within the feeting nature of time, and the subsequent importance of the here and now. I think they deserve to run free." Featuring a special guest appearance by Ringo Starr on the title track. Also featuring Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr All Star Band), Jimmy Earl (Jimmy Kimmel Live!
