The Numero Group is a Chicago-based record label, dedicated to the preservation and celebration of lesser-known artists. Their exploration spans the globe and reaches deep into the recesses of music history to&nbsp;create compilations of previously released music, reissues of original albums, and creation of album reconstructions from a variety of musical genres.

The label's focus since its 2003 founding has been to research and preserve obscure recorded material and ephemera by artists and entrepreneurs who found little commercial success upon their material's initial release.

<p>Duster is an American rock band from San-Jose California, consisting of multi-instrumentalists Clay Parton, Canaan Dove Amber, and Jason Albertini. Known for their unique sound, the group has been associated with indie rock, space rock, and slowcore movements. They recorded their music in their Low Earth Orbit studio using older recording equipment like cassette decks. Active from 1996–2001 and again since 2018.</p>

Culled from half a decade of home four-tracking, <i>Remote Echoes</i> is a hissy, crumbly, and ungrounded expression of Clay Parton and Canaan Amber’s ongoing Duster project. A mix of cassette only demos released under the banners Christmas Dust and On The Dodge, this 14 track album also includes a bevy of previously unissued stragglers. Duster’s unique blend of fuzzy guitars, bargain synths, muffled percussion, and hushed vocals anticipated chillwave, mumblecore, and corecore, elegantly illustrating the holy trinity of slacker vices: cigarettes, coffee, and the weed supreme.
