Eurythmics is a British synthpop duo consisting of Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart. They first recorded together as members of the new wave band The Catch, before changing their name to Eurythmics in 1981. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" in 1983, propelling them to become one of the leading synth groups throughout the eighties.
After pursuing solo activities in the early and mid-90s, Eurythmics reunited for an album and charity world tour in 1999. In 2004, they released extended, remastered editions of their previous albums and a second hits compilation. They also released one song under the alias "The Spheres Of Celestial Influence".
Eurythmics' discography includes notable albums such as "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)", "Touch", and "Be Yourself Tonight". With their unique blend of synthesizers and powerful vocals from Annie Lennox, Eurythmics has left an indelible mark on the music industry.

RCA is a multinational record label that has been used worldwide and is currently owned by Sony Music Entertainment. The name RCA originally referred to the Radio Corporation of America, a US electronic and communications company formed in 1919. In 1929, RCA acquired the Victor Talking Machine Co., which had released records on the Victor and Victrola labels. The record division became known as RCA Victor until late 1968 when it became RCA Records.

In 1985, RCA Records became part of RCA/Ariola International. At the end of that year, General Electric purchased the RCA Corporation. In 1986, GE sold the remainder of RCA Records to Bertelsmann (Ariola's owner) and formed the Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG). Since then, RCA Records has switched owners twice and is currently owned by Sony Music Entertainment.

On September 26, 2011, Sony Music Entertainment reorganized the RCA Records group into its own label banner. This merger brought artists from Jive, Arista, LaFace, and J Records under the umbrella of RCA. Additionally, reissues from these imprints will be handled by RCA as well.

Peace is the eighth and final studio album by British duo Eurythmics, released in October 1999. It was the band's first album of new material in ten years, following 1989's We Too Are One. Eurythmics returned with a collection of lush pop tracks caressed by Annie Lennox's sultry vocals flowing over Dave Stewart's enthralling studio arrangements. The mood struck on the Eurythmics' ninth studio album is one of warm, organic ambiance akin to William Orbit's work with Madonna.

Songs such as the airy 17 Again (which finds Lennox cleverly referencing their hit Sweet Dreams) and the Burt Bacharach-flavoured I Saved the World Today are sophisticated, unpretentious pop compositions light years beyond the band's early synth-pop work. Balancing out Peace's sedate moments are such up-tempo tracks as the wah-wah guitar-driven Power to the Meek and the equally rocking I Want It All, a track punctuated by Lennox's exuberant whoops. One of the most triumphant moments on Peace is Forever, a sweeping number wrapped in a George Martin-inspired orchestral arrangement straight off a late-period Beatles album.
