Fleetwood Mac was founded in London in July 1967 by ex-Bluesbreakers members, Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. They quickly became a major force in the UK blues scene with their eponymous first album. After experiencing a personal crisis, the group reorganized under the leadership of Fleetwood and shifted away from blues towards mainstream popularity. Over the years, they have had numerous talented members join and leave the band, including Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

Throughout their career, Fleetwood Mac has left an indelible mark on the music industry. Their sound evolved from blues to a more mainstream style that resonated with audiences worldwide. With hits like "Go Your Own Way" and "Rhiannon," they captivated listeners with their unique blend of rock and pop.

In recognition of their contributions to music, Fleetwood Mac was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 as performers. Their enduring legacy continues to inspire new generations of musicians and fans alike.

Rhino Records, also known as Rhino, is a renowned music label that was established in 1973 by Richard Foos. Starting as a record store in Westwood California, Rhino quickly gained recognition with its first successful release "Go To Rhino Records" by Wild Man Fischer in 1975. The label's early logo featured "Rocky the Rhino" and focused on novelty, surf, local new wave bands, and reissues of out-of-print records from other labels.

Under the guidance of Bill Inglot for production, Ken Perry for mastering, and A&R team Gary Stewart and James Austin, Rhino expanded its catalog to include a wide range of reissues by the mid-1980s. The label underwent a logo redesign during this time period to simply "Rhino". In 1984, Rhino released its first CD and became known for manufacturing high-quality CDs made by Sanyo (1984-85) and various manufacturers from Japan or Switzerland thereafter.

In 1985, Rhino entered into a distribution deal with Capitol Records which lasted until 1992. This partnership allowed access to Capitol's back catalog and led to the release of reissues of old Capitol albums. Additionally, EMI and Rhino acquired the Roulette family of labels in 1989. As their deal with Capitol came to an end in 1992, Time-Warner offered an opportunity for growth. Half of the label was sold to Time-Warner

No home should be without at least one copy of Tusk - Fleetwood Mac's magnum opus released in 1979. And while you are probably familiar with the hits, you may not realise that this recording is full of gems like Christine Mcvie's gorgeous Brown Eyes and Lindsey Buckingham's rousing and infectious I Know i'm Not Wrong. While some records from this period seem campy and quaint in retrospect, Tusk still sounds terrific, thanks to those Dashut / Buckingham production values.
