London-based singer-songwriter experimentalist and former Screaming Tea Party member Koichi Yamanoha has been operating under the alias of Grimm Grimm since 2013 - The project is an outlet for his fragile, haunted, otherworldly forays into baroque folk, futurist lyricism and electro-acoustic. Born in Tokyo, Yamanoha's first solo track was released with Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine. This was followed up with his debut album, "Hazy Eyes Maybe", released originally by ATP and now re-issued on limited edition vinyl by his label Tip Top Recordings. His sophomore album, "Cliffhanger" was released in 2018. And in 2019, his 7" single remixed by Klein (Hyperdub) was released via Koshiro Hino (goat / YPY)'s Osaka-based cult label, birdFriend. ' And in 2020 Grimm Grimm signed to Tip Top to release his third album "Ginormous", which was mixed and co-produced by MPG Award-winning producer Marta Salogni. This was preceded by his support to Cate Le Bon on her six-date summer 2019 UK tour and the ten date UK and EU tour with Cate as well as playing festivals Green Man, Sonic City & Le Guess Who? as well as his own headline UK and EU tours. Grimm Grimm now returns with this wonderful re-issue of his sought after and long out of print debut album 'Hazy Eyes Maybe' in preparation for new music
