Hype Williams is an American music video and film director, as well as a photographer. Born in 1970 in Queens, New York, USA, Hype Williams has made a significant impact on the industry with his unique style and creative vision.

With a career spanning several decades, Hype Williams has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry. His innovative approach to directing and photography has earned him critical acclaim and numerous awards.

Influenced by a diverse range of artists such as Inga Copeland, Ssaliva, James Ferraro, Laurel Halo, Dean Blunt, Babyfather, Actress, Oneohtrix Point Never, Fatima Al Qadiri, Delroy Edwards, Klein, Joanne Robertson and many others - Hype Williams continues to push boundaries and redefine the art form.

The last Hype Williams recordings were for One Nation (Hippos in Tanks, 2011). After this, Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland carried on recording through 2012 under their own names (while continuing to use the Hype Williams name to fulfil existing live commitments). They are both no longer involved, and any Hype Williams releases you’ve since heard are Fake.
