James Blunt, born on 22 February 1974 in Tidworth, Wiltshire, England, is an English singer-songwriter and former army officer. He gained fame in 2005 with his debut album "Back to Bedlam" and hit singles like "You're Beautiful" and "Goodbye My Lover". Blunt's music style combines acoustic-tinged pop, rock, and folk. With over 18 million albums sold worldwide, his debut album is the best-selling album of the 2000s in the UK.
Prior to his music career, Blunt served as an officer in the British Army's Life Guards regiment during the Kosovo conflict in 1999.
