BMG Rights Management, formerly known as Bertelsmann Music Group, is a global music conglomerate with a rich history in the industry. Originally formed in 1985 as a joint venture between Bertelsmann AG and RCA, BMG has since evolved into a powerhouse of music production and distribution.

In 1986, Bertelsmann acquired full ownership of RCA and Arista Records through the purchase of their joint venture's stock from General Electric. Jim Croce was an American singer and songwriter, born on January 10, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He tragically passed away at the age of 30 in an airplane crash in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Despite his short career, Croce left a lasting impact on the music industry with his heartfelt songs and captivating storytelling.

Croce's music resonated with audiences through his relatable lyrics and soulful voice. His style blended elements of folk, rock, and country, creating a unique sound that appealed to a wide range of listeners. Songs like "Time in a Bottle," "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown," and "Operator (That's Not the Way It Feels)" became timeless classics.

Although he may no longer be with us, Jim Croce's legacy lives on through his son A.J. Croce who also pursued a successful career in music. Throughout his life, Jim was supported by his loving spouse Ingrid Croce who stood by him during both triumphs and challenges.

Specially created limited edition double A Side on 12” Colored Vinyl. Featuring the 1st two singles released from Jim Croce’s 1972 album, You Don’t Mess Around with Jim, which hit #1 in the US and Canada is RIAA Certified Gold. Also included are the original B-Sides “Photographs and Memories” and “New York’s Not My Home”. The release also includes the original front cover art from both singles, with one of them on each side of the 12” sleeve.
