Description

The Norwegian sextet Kaizers Orchestra build cathartic rock songs that borrow heavily from the tunes of Tin Pan Alley and Eastern European folk music.

Their third album, Maestro, received rave reviews and went straight to the number one spot on Norwegian sales charts upon release, in August 2005. It featured milestones such as "KGB", "Maestro", "Knekker deg til sist" and "Dieter Meyers Inst", songs that took permanent residency in the band's live sets for years to come.

For the band, Maestro felt like the first time it all came together - live experience, songwriting, confidence, timing, and maturity - taking the band to new musical heights.
