Lefty Frizzell was an American country music singer and songwriter, born on March 31, 1928 in Corsicana, Texas. He is considered one of the most important country musicians, known for his honky-tonk style that influenced many vocalists in the generations that followed. With a career spanning several decades, Frizzell's contributions to country music are immeasurable.

Frizzell's younger brother, David Frizzell, also became a successful country singer. His other brother is Allen Frizzell. Additionally, his niece is a talented performer as well.
