'nootropics' (pronounced no-eh-tro-pics) is said to be inspired by their native b-more, with the album title supposedly a reference to transhumanism (aka the use of technology and artificial intelligence to extend human capabilities). the record was engineered in benton harbor, mi, with producer drew brown (radiohead, sandro perri, beck, blonde redhead) and completed in baltimore, and is the band's first release since carter tanton stepped in to replace departing guitarist will adams.
