The Magik Markers are an American noise rock band from Hartford, Connecticut. Formed in 2001, the band consists of members Elisa Ambrogio and Pete Nolan. Leah Quimby was a former member until 2006.
Their unique sound is characterized by raw energy, experimental guitar work, and improvisational performances. Drawing inspiration from genres like punk, psychedelia, and free jazz, *Magik Markers* have carved out their own distinct sonic territory.

This is the first LP to feature bassist John 'The Saw' Shaw (Son of Earth, the Believers), though he's been a 'monolithic presence' within the group since 2009. The trio's 11-song cycle kicks off with 'Crebs,' a punky song apparently "about the Chesapeake Valley Runoff and the mating cycle of crabs."
