Manchester Orchestra is an American indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 2004, the group consists of Andy Hull as rhythm guitarist, singer, and songwriter; Robert McDowell as lead guitarist; Andy Prince as bassist; and Timothy Very as drummer. Former drummer Jeremiah Edmond left the band in 2010 to focus on his family and running the band's record label, Favorite Gentlemen. The original bassist Jonathan Corley departed in 2013, while keyboardist/percussionist Chris Freeman left in 2016 to pursue other projects.
With their unique blend of indie rock sound and heartfelt lyrics, Manchester Orchestra has gained a dedicated following over the years. Their music resonates with fans who appreciate their raw emotions and powerful performances.
Having released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Mean Everything to Nothing" and "A Black Mile to the Surface," Manchester Orchestra continues to push boundaries with their music. They have toured extensively around the world, captivating audiences with their energetic live shows.

Loma Vista is a record label founded by Tom Whalley, former chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Records and Executive of A&R at Interscope Records. The label was initially a joint venture with Republic Records and is based in Beverly Hills and Brooklyn.

The album, featuring production from Catherine Marks (Foals, PJ Harvey, The Killers), John Congleton (St. Vincent, Explosions In The Sky, Angel Olsen), and their longtime studio partner Dan Hannon, showcases a band that rethought, deconstructed, and rebuilt their songwriting process to propel their music into a new emotional arena, drawing on singer/guitarist Andy Hull and co-writer / multi-instrumentalist Robert McDowell’s unique experience scoring the 2016 Sundance hit film Swiss Army Man (directed by The Daniels). 

The album is a bold record of vision and purpose, inspired by and dwelling in a sensory and imaginative experience. It’s a reinvention of sorts, both musically and personally, and an evolution of the band, while also retaining the sweeping, melodic, and anthemic sounds for which Manchester Orchestra has become known.
