Marc Bolan, born Mark Feld, was an English singer-songwriter, musician, guitarist, and poet. He gained fame as the lead singer of the rock band T. Rex. Tragically, he passed away in a car accident just before his 30th birthday.

Born on September 30, 1947 in Hackney, London, England, Marc Bolan left a lasting impact on the music industry during his short but prolific career. His son Rolan Bolan continues to carry on his musical legacy.

An amazing insight into the workings of the late and very great Marc Bolan, here we have over 100 tracks from Marc’s home of his own personal home recordings. Marc purchased the best tape recorders of the day as early as 1970 to record his ideas on.Included are work in progress versions of many tracks that went onto become global hits such as Get It On, Jeepster, Metal Guru, Telegram Sam, The Groover, Truck On (Tyke), Thunderwing, Sunken Rags and many, many more. Nearly all of the other tracks were never issued during Marc’s lifetime. Presented in a clam shell box with a booklet featuring full liner notes by Andrew Gardner of the Bolan Society and designed by Bolan fan and top designer Les Clark. Most of these recordings were stolen from Marc and Gloria’s home literally the day after Marc died. 4 of the discs have been issued on limited edition vinyl pressings but disc 5 remains exclusive to this Boxset.
