Marc Bolan, born Mark Feld, was an English singer-songwriter, musician, guitarist, and poet. He gained fame as the lead singer of the rock band T. Rex. Tragically, he passed away in a car accident just before his 30th birthday.

Born on September 30, 1947 in Hackney, London, England, Marc Bolan left a lasting impact on the music industry during his short but prolific career. His son Rolan Bolan continues to carry on his musical legacy.

With a unique blend of glam rock and folk influences, Marc Bolan's music resonated with audiences around the world. Some similar artists who have been inspired by his sound include T. Rex themselves along with Mott The Hoople, Mick Ronson, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, and many more.

Part of a series of four vinyl LPs of home demos, restored and remastered for vinyl this year (2018) from recently acquired materials returned to the estate. These embryonic recordings of songs, some of which would find their way on to the iconic Slider album .. many did not and remained unreleased. Included here are recordings made in Tony Visconti’s flat in the autumn of 1971 and Truck On was not released until the end of 1973. This version includes some additional vocals by Tony’s then wife Mary Hopkin. Limited to 750 copies world wide. Exclusively and uniquely designed to represent the correct period from which the material was recorded. includes inner bag with full liner notes by Andrew J. Gardner of the Bolan Society. Taken directly from Marc’s own tapes (originally stolen from the home of Marc and Gloria and recently repatriated to Gloria and her charity The Light of Love Foundation) and the audio restored and mastered by Anders Peterson At Ghost Sound Sweden.
