Description

The first compilation of tracks by the Algerian vocalist Mohamed Mazouni. Through his naive and poetic “Francarabe” songs (a unique and strange mix of French and Arabic lyrics), Mazouni’s poignant songs about exile, and his love ballads, we discover with melancholy the life of an Algerian immigrant of the first generation in the France of the ‘70s. These songs mix hope, joy and frustration. This compilation, the first one dedicated to him, includes all of his “hits” never reissued, as well as some previously unreleased gems.
